What You Need To Do

One of the responsibilities of a Notary Public is to establish and confirm the identity of each client to help prevent identity fraud. You must also be able to satisfy me that you understand the document which is to be notarised.

To help this process, you are required to produce evidence of your identity (e.g. a current valid passport) and proof of your current address (e.g. a council tax or utility bill).

Where possible, you should fax these documents or send as an email attachment, in advance of any initial meeting, especially for non English languages where translation will be required.
